TRENTON, Mich. (AP) - Officials say a Detroit-area police department is getting more than $500,000 for its assistance in a federal investigation.

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations unit on Monday night plans to present a ceremonial check to the Trenton Police Department.

The presentation is planned at the Trenton City Council’s meeting. Additional details about the investigation are to be released Monday.
