ST. MARTIN, Miss. (AP) - The North Bay Mardi Gras parade continues to grow with each year.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/OSqxOJ ) Sunday’s event was one of the biggest in its 26 years of existence.

Thousands of people lined the streets from St. Martin to D’Iberville to plead for beads and enjoy the family atmosphere.

Parade coordinator Jessica Kendziorek has watched as the parade has grown into one of the more popular ones on the Gulf Coast.

Sunday’s parade included 65 floats.

Kendziorek believes the parade has grown because it’s easier for kids to get in on the fun.
