PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police are searching for a man who fired into a northeast Philadelphia bar that had refused him entry, injuring two people.

Investigators said the man approached Candela’s Bar and Grill in the Crescentville section at about 3:45 a.m. Monday, but a security guard told him that the establishment was closing.

Police said the man became irate and threw a milk crate into the glass facade of the bar, then returned with a handgun a few minutes later and fired a few shots into the door.

Capt. Michael Gormley said the security guard was grazed in the cheek by a bullet and a woman was also injured.

Police said both were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment.
