RAYMOND, Miss. (AP) - The Hinds County Detention Center’s chief administrator says two inmates were injured in a riot at the jail in Raymond.

Chief Administrator Dianne Gatson-Riley tells The Clarion-Ledger (https://on.thec-l.com/1lyX22d ) that officials don’t believe any officers were hurt.

The newspaper reports that two bleeding inmates were brought to the doors of the section where the fight broke out Monday evening. Gatson-Riley says their conditions are not known.

Sheriff’s spokesman Othor (OH-thohr) Cain tells WLBT-TV (https://bit.ly/1fhxa6S ) that a gang fight started at lunch time Monday. He says it resumed around 5 p.m.

WAPT-TV (https://bit.ly/1lyU4uo ) reports that dozens of ambulances and officers were on the scene.
