VANCOUVER, Wash. (AP) - Police say they’ve made an arrest after a man pepper-sprayed an area around the lobby of a Vancouver, Wash., medical clinic.

The Columbian reports (https://is.gd/8B32Yj ) that police arrived Thursday afternoon at a PeaceHealth Medical Group clinic to find several patients and staff members complaining of respiratory irritation.

India Littler was visiting the clinic. She told the newspaper a man sprayed the entry doors and bushes in front of the building and people in the waiting room soon started to cough and get teary eyes. Staffers distributed face masks and water and ventilated the building.

No one was seriously hurt.

Police say 28-year-old Christopher J. Briggs of Vancouver was booked into jail for investigation of fourth-degree assault.
