LEON, Iowa (AP) - Officials have lifted a boil advisory in the southern Iowa city of Leon.

The state Department of Natural Resources said in a news release Friday that water samples have tested clean for bacterial contamination. Lost water pressure means bacteria could have entered the system.

A water main break Monday night in the city of just over 1,900 people caused the advisory. It drained the city’s two water towers, and residents were asked to keep water use to a minimum.
