HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) - Authorities say one person was killed and two others injured, including a young child, in a triple shooting at a Hot Springs apartment complex.

The Garland County Sheriff’s Department says the shooting was reported at about 5 p.m. Wednesday at a 20-unit apartment complex called Springwood Townhomes. Authorities say a man and woman were shot, along with a 20-month-old girl.

The sheriff’s office says the woman, 26-year-old Mayela Mata, died of her injuries later Wednesday night. The child is in critical condition at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, while the man was treated and released from a hospital.

A neighbor tells The Sentinel Record (https://bit.ly/1jkTSg1 ) that she saw a masked man run from the apartment after the shooting before driving away in a white Cadillac.

No arrests have been made.
