KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - Mohave County Supervisor Joy Brotherton has died.

A family spokeswoman says the 74-year-old Brotherton died Monday at her home in Kingman.

She had been hospitalized for more than a month with a blood infection before being discharged last week.

Brotherton was a real estate broker for nearly 30 years before being elected to a four-year term on the county Board of Supervisors representing District 4 in November 2012.

She’s survived by her husband Butch Brotherton, six children and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are pending.
