MADISON, Wis. (AP) - A man riding a Metro Transit bus was struck and killed after getting off the bus in Madison.

Police say the 68-year-old man died at a hospital after attempts to revive him Monday night were unsuccessful. Police spokesman Joel DeSpain says security camera video shows the man was apparently drinking alcohol on the bus. And when he got off he stumbled back toward the bus and was run over by the rear wheels.

The man’s name has not been released. The State Journal (https://bit.ly/1k4La6F ) says the bus driver is on paid leave as per Metro Transit policy.
