CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Cheyenne is in the process of bringing back goats to manage vegetation along Dry Creek.

City engineer Rob Geringer says vegetation is increasing in the flood plain area, and with it the potential for floodwaters.

The goats also cut down on noxious weeds in the Dry Creek basin.

According to the Wyoming Tribune Eagle (https://tinyurl.com/pv5xu7x ), the city could use human labor to manage the vegetation, but that would be substantially more expensive than goat labor.
