LOS ANGELES (AP) - A $50,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the conviction of whoever shot and killed a man in an apparent road-rage attack on a Los Angeles freeway.

Police Lt. Paul Vernon says 35-year-old Sergio Sanchez was fatally shot in his car on westbound Interstate 210 in Sylmar shortly before 1 a.m. on March 14.

Vernon says there were multiple impacts along the side of Sanchez’ Mitsubishi Eclipse, leading detectives to think the shooting was probably road rage.

City News Service reports the reward was offered Thursday by the City Council.
