NEW YORK (AP) - Front extended his winning streak to three with a narrow victory Thursday in the $80,000 allowance feature on the turf at Belmont Park.

Front and Middleburg battled side by side through the final furlong. The 4-year-old trained by Jimmy Jerkens prevailed by a neck with Rajiv Maragh aboard, improving to 5 for 13.

The time was 1:35.64 for a mile on the rain-softened course rated good.

Front paid $8.30, $3.80 and $2.70. Middleburg returned $4.60 and $3.50, and Tune Me In paid $3.50 to show.
