INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Andrew Luck is giving two Indiana children a memorable experience at Sunday’s Indianapolis 500.

The Colts quarterback will be joined by 11-year-old MaKenzi Rooksberry of Jasonville and 14-year-old Johliel Austin of Indianapolis on the IU Health Lifeline helicopter. They will land in the first turn of the racetrack, then hop into the official pace car and take a lap around the 2.5-mile oval before delivering the green flag that signals the start of the race.

Rooksberry will be riding in the same helicopter that transported her to Riley Hospital for Children after she collided with a moving vehicle late last year. Austin is representing “Change The Play,” a health and wellness program that Luck and IndyCar driver Charlie Kimball work together on.
