HOQUIAM, Wash. (AP) - A Hoquiam man was stabbed in a fight with a burglar he caught trying to break into his car Thursday night in his garage.

Sgt. Brian Dayton says the burglar drew a knife when he was confronted. The homeowner suffered scratches and a puncture wound to the forearm as the burglar fled.

KBKW reports (https://bit.ly/1nzVJxq ) a police dog tracked the man for a few blocks but lost the scent.
