NEW YORK (AP) - A swarm of bees atop a tree on Manhattan’s Upper West Side has been safely removed.

They occupied a tree at West 72nd Street near Amsterdam Avenue.

They were captured Monday by the NYPD’s beekeeper Anthony Planakis.

Last week, Planakis removed nearly 18,000 bees from a bus stop in Brooklyn.
