PLAIN, Wis. (AP) - A family-owned meat processor is expanding in Sauk County.

Straka Meats is adding production and retail space to its operation in Plain. The expansion will allow the company to vacuum seal sausage, venison and other meat products.

Owner John Straka says most of his meat is grown on farms around the village. The Baraboo News Republic (https://bit.ly/1kHBnmI ) says Straka processes between 600 to 700 cows and pigs per year, plus an additional 500 deer during the hunting season.
