CORNISH, N.H. (AP) - A school board member in the New Hampshire town of Cornish says she has no plans to resign after residents got angry over her coarsely worded Facebook posting following the last meeting.

Holly Taft’s comment, which contained profanity, was interpreted as a derogatory comment directed at people who attended that meeting. The Valley News reports (https://bit.ly/TT8WZI) at least two petitions circulated at Tuesday’s meeting calling for her or the entire board to resign.

Taft posted the comment the day after her view on volunteers bringing toddlers with them to school was at odds with people in the audience.

Taft said she wasn’t referring to the meeting participants; she declined to say whom she was addressing. She said her comment was blown out of proportion.
