VALENTINE, Neb. (AP) - The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission and Valentine Lions Club have scheduled a youth fishing clinic at the Valentine State Fish Hatchery on Saturday.

Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. with the clinic starting at 10 a.m., regardless of the weather. Free rods and reels will be provided by the Nebraska Walleye Association.

In the morning participants will learn about knots, casting, lures and baits, fish identification, water and boating safety in the morning. They will fish the hatchery ponds after lunch. Parents are encouraged to attend.
