Three people, including two teens, were shot near a high school in southeast D.C. Tuesday morning, police said.

The shooting occurred just after 9 a.m. in the 3100 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Southeast, WTOP reported.

Two 17-year-olds and a 20-year-old were taken to the hospital. Police say the injuries were not life-threatening. It is not known whether the victims are students.

Ballou High School and Ballou STAY High School were briefly placed on lockdown.

Seventh District Commander Robin Hoey police do have leads and are “looking for some people.”

Investigators are trying to determine whether a dispute on a Metro bus spilled onto the street, the news station reported.
