CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A retired West Virginia horse trainer has claimed a $2 million Powerball prize.

Angel Gonzales of Ranson said at a news conference Tuesday that he is overwhelmed by his good fortune. He said he will use the money to help take care of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The native of Puerto Rico moved to West Virginia in 1979. He picked his own numbers for Saturday’s drawing and paid an extra $1 for the Power Play option that increased his prize to $2 million.

The Powerball numbers for the Saturday drawing were 05-15-16-46-49 with a Power Ball 26 and PowerPlay: x4.
