NEW YORK (AP) - Upgrade rallied to beat Bio Pro by 1¼ lengths Friday in the $88,200 allowance feature on the turf at Belmont Park.

Upgrade and jockey Javier Castellano launched their bid on the turn and surged three wide through the lane as the 7-year-old gelding won for eighth time in 33 starts.

Trained by Chad Brown, Upgrade paid $5.90, $3 and $2.30 as the 9-5 favorite. Bio Pro returned $3.20 and $2.30 while The Brothers War paid $3.20.

The time was 1:22.02 for seven furlongs on the course rated good.
