LOS ANGELES (AP) - Two gang members have been found guilty of stabbing to death a man at a Los Angeles high school campus.

Brothers Anthony and Michael Carpio were convicted Friday of second-degree murder and face up to 15 years to life in prison.

Prosecutors say the two approached 18-year-old Kevin Orellana in April of last year as he was playing handball on a playground at Cleveland High School in Reseda.

Authorities say the brothers issued a gang challenge to Orellana, who wasn’t in a gang, and then Anthony Carpio stabbed him.

They fled in a car driven by Michelle Pineda, who pleaded no contest to being an accessory after the fact. She’s facing two years in state prison.
