SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Candidates are rallying California voters as they make the most of the last weekend before Election Day.

Gov. Jerry Brown is stopping near his family’s ranch in Williams, about an hour north of Sacramento, for a voter rally Saturday. Republican challenger Neel Kashkari is in Silicon Valley for an appearance with state Senate candidate Peter Kuo.

Polls show Brown with a commanding lead over the former U.S. Treasury official.

The parties are focusing their money on a handful of contested congressional and state legislative seats.

Vice President Joe Biden is in San Diego to help first-term Democratic Rep. Scott Peters hold on to one of the hardest-fought House seats.

Democrats are also trying to secure their supermajority status in the state Capitol, but Republicans are targeting vulnerable seats.
