ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) - Maryland State Police have released the identity of a teen killed in an early-morning crash in Montgomery County on Saturday.

Police identified the victim as 17-year-old resident Dominik Liam Pettey.

Police say at about 2 a.m. a 24-year-old woman driving a Jeep Compass drifted onto the shoulder of the Interstate 495 loop and struck a disabled 2009 Honda Accord with four people inside. Police say Pettey was sitting in the backseat on the left side, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the other three people in the Honda suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital.

Police say the driver of the Jeep was also transported to the hospital for treatment. Police say during the investigation she showed signs of impairment, though she has not been charged.
