BERLIN, Conn. (AP) - Two people are dead after the driver lost control of a luxury car around a curve, causing the vehicle to hit a tree and burst into flames in Berlin.

Police say firefighters found the victims inside the vehicle after extinguishing the blaze early Saturday. They did not survive.

Police say they received a 911 call at 3:44 a.m. reporting a car fire on Kensington Road.

Authorities did not immediately release the names of the victims because their families had not been notified.

Investigators are looking into circumstances surrounding the crash. They ask anyone with information to contact police in Berlin.
