DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - A 21-year-old southwest Ohio man has been indicted in the death of a pedestrian who was hit and killed by the suspect’s car during a high-speed police chase in July.

The Montgomery County prosecutor’s office said Friday that Aaron Johnson of Dayton was indicted by a grand jury on multiple counts that include aggravated vehicular homicide.

Police said officers were pursuing Johnson at high speed when he lost control of his car and hit 27-year-old Agyasi Ector before crashing into a utility pole and some trees.

Prosecutors say Johnson didn’t have a valid driver’s license. He was indicted earlier for illegally having a firearm in his car. An attorney has not been listed for him in court records.

He’s scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday.
