COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Ohioans still have time to cast an early ballot ahead of Election Day.

Residents can vote absentee by mail or in person before Tuesday’s election. Voters will decide races for governor and other statewide offices.

The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail is noon Saturday, though voted ballots must be postmarked Nov. 3.

In-person, early voting hours are as follows: Saturday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.; and Monday, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Secretary of State Jon Husted (HYOO’-sted) says more than 477,000 voters have cast absentee ballots so far. That’s based on an informal survey last week of county elections boards.

More than 7.7 million Ohioans were registered to vote as of Oct. 1.
