PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Homicide detectives are asking for help from the public as they try to solve the murder of a married couple found dead in their northeast Portland home.

Police have identified the victims found Thursday as 65-year-old Jerry Ephrem and his wife, 65-year-old Helen Ephrem. Detectives have said only that they died due to homicidal violence. No cause of death has been released.

Police say they have no suspect information and no idea why anyone would want to hurt the Ephrems.

Detectives say Crime Stoppers of Oregon is offering a cash reward of as much as $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
