LISBON, Portugal (AP) - FC Porto beat Nacional 2-0 at home to close to within one point of Benfica at the top of the Portuguese league on Saturday.

Danilo opened with a goal in the ninth minute, and Yacine Brahimi sealed the three points with a second goal in the 74th.

Porto visits Athletic Bilbao in the Champions League on Wednesday.

Guimaraes beat Sporting Lisbon 3-0 at home to stay in third place two points off Benfica’s pace.

Baraky Sare got Guimaraes going with a goal in the 15th. Joao Afonso made it 2-0 in the 42nd, and Andre Andre converted a penalty in the 82nd.

Also, Estoril won 2-1 at Penafiel to leave the hosts in second-to-last place.

On Friday, Benfica edged Rio Ave 1-0 at home.
