CHELSEA, Mass. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of a woman whose body was found by a pedestrian in Chelsea.

Jake Wark, spokesman for Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office, says investigators are trying to identify the woman who appears to be in her mid-20s or 30s.

Wark says the body was found Saturday at 9:20 a.m. near the intersection of Highland and Suffolk streets. There were no immediate signs of trauma.

Still, the medical examiner will determine the manner and cause of death as police and prosecutors look into facts and circumstances of her death.

Authorities urge anyone who has information or may have witnesses anything in the area of Suffolk and Highland streets late Friday night or early Saturday to contact police in Chelsea.
