FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) - Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni has returned home after being deployed overseas for seven months.

But the Asbury Park Press (https://on.app.com/1tMsw84) reports that the 42-year-old Wall resident won’t officially return to his role as the county’s top law enforcement agent for several days. For now, he’ll be spending time with his family.

Gramiccioni, a lieutenant commander in the Navy Reserve, had been serving at a base in Afghanistan. He appeared at a county Board of Freeholders meeting on Thursday to express gratitude for their support to him and his office while he was away.
