PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Gubernatorial nominee Gina Raimondo and other Democratic candidates are launching a get-out-the-vote effort ahead of Tuesday’s statewide balloting in Rhode Island.

Raimondo will be joined at her campaign headquarters Saturday morning by the rest of the Democratic ticket. That includes Dan McKee for lieutenant governor, Seth Magaziner for treasurer, Nellie Gorbea for secretary of state and Peter Kilmartin for attorney general. Kilmartin is the only incumbent.

Democrats are planning a coordinated campaign that will include knocking on doors and making calls through phone banks before Election Day.

A spokesman for Cranston Mayor Allan Fung says Republicans will continue their turnout efforts, including door-to-door visits and phone calls.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is scheduled to rally Fung supporters at the mayor’s Cranston campaign headquarters on Monday morning.
