CLEARFIELD, Utah (AP) - A Utah pediatrician was arrested after police said hundreds of images of child pornography were found on his personal computer.

Dr. Taylor Jerman of Clearfield was booked into jail Friday for investigation of eight counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

The 34-year-old Jerman has been a pediatrician at Intermountain Healthcare in Layton since February.

Police say there’s no evidence that links the case to his job there.

Intermountain HealthCare, in a statement, says it’s “deeply concerned” by the allegations and Jerman has been suspended pending the outcome of an investigation.

The arrest culminated a two-month investigation.
