SUMTER, S.C. (AP) - A woman has been sentenced to spend 12 years in prison for her role in the April 2011 killing of a man in Sumter.

The Sumter Item (https://bit.ly/1s354zh) reported a jury found London Kelley guilty of accessory after the fact to murder Friday. The same jury found her not guilty of murder in the case.

Kelley and her boyfriend were charged with murder in January after an informant told Sumter County deputies she had confessed to the killing of 26-year-old Darrell Epps.

Prosecutors say Kelley has a relationship with Epps and lured him to Sumter County to be killed. Kelley’s lawyer says there was no evidence linking her to the killing and the witnesses who say she confessed faced their own legal troubles and weren’t reliable.
