CHALKHILL, Pa. (AP) - State police and a coroner have been investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a pond near a drug and alcohol treatment center where he had been staying in southwestern Pennsylvania.

The Fayette County coroner says the dead man is 21-year-old Michael James Cameron.

He was a patient at Another Way Inc. in Wharton Township, Fayette County, about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh. The treatment center has not commented on Cameron’s death.

His body was found by another patient about 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Cameron’s family say he checked himself into the treatment center because he has struggled with addiction.

The cause of Cameron’s death will be determined by an autopsy and toxicology tests, which could take days or weeks to complete.
