NEW YORK (AP) - The MTA says service is back on the No. 7 subway line following a smoke condition in a tunnel beneath the East River.

Transit officials say the cause of the incident on Monday was not immediately determined.

Customers who normally take the No. 7 train between Queens and Manhattan were directed to use N or Q trains.
