NEW YORK (AP) - The first New York Festival of Lights was so popular that organizers had to shut it down early due to overcrowding concern.
The dazzling light display was held along the archway under the Manhattan Bridge in Brooklyn on Saturday.
Organizers closed it 2 ½ hours early.
The festival also featured multiple DJ sets, drawing hundreds of people.
Festival co-founder Liam O’Braion told the Daily News (https://nydn.us/1xlwAMH ) that organizers were delighted that so many New Yorkers showed up for the show. But he said “safety is the most important thing.”
