PITTSBURGH (AP) - A Christian broadcasting organization is launching a second channel in partnership with more than 30 Pittsburgh-area churches.

Cornerstone Television Network, of Wall, which already airs programming on CVTN channel 40 plans to offer Pittsburgh Faith & Family on Channel 40.2, and over-the-air digital network.

The channel will feature various worship and teaching specials, but will also offer programming from the local churches partnering with the channel.

Cornerstone President Don Black says the channel is meant to reach 1.2 million western Pennsylvania families who may be looking for a church to join. The programming created by the area churches will enable those viewers to experience Pittsburgh-area churches that Black says those families may then want to visit.

The network is working on a Roku channel for the new channel.
