NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - North Charleston is paying tribute to those who served in the armed forces.

On Tuesday, the city hosts its annual Veterans Day tribute. Vietnam War veteran Lt. Col. Clebe McClary is the keynote speaker, and veterans attending the ceremony receive a commemorative coin. Last year, 500 veterans were honored at the event.

Prior to the observance at the city’s Park Circle is a story swap in which veterans share stories and memories about their service with other vets. The 1st Combat Squadron based at Joint Base Charleston has a photo display from past Air Force operations.
