PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - New Washington State basketball coach Ernie Kent has signed four players in his first recruiting class with the Cougars.
Kent on Wednesday signed Robert Franks, a 6-foot-7 forward from Vancouver, Wash., who is entering his senior season at Evergreen High School.
Kent also signed Derrien King, a 6-foot-7 forward who is entering his first season at Santa Monica Community College in California after spending a year at Middlebrooks Academy in Los Angeles.
Also signed was 6-foot-9 forward Jeff Pollard of Bountiful High School in Utah. Pollard will attend Impact Academy in Las Vegas next season, before joining Washington State beginning with the 2015-16 season.
The last signee was Renard Suggs, a 6-foot-3 guard who plays for Gillette College in Wyoming.
The Cougars open this season Friday at UTEP.
