GUTHRIE, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say a man has been found dead after a house fire in Guthrie.

Guthrie Fire Department Chief Eric Harlow says crews responded to reports of a house fire Tuesday afternoon. Harlow says it took firefighters about 45 minutes to bring the blaze under control because strong winds accelerated the fire’s growth.

Crews discovered the man’s body inside the home after the fire was extinguished. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and the man’s body was sent to the Oklahoma medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
