MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) - Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson has been ruled out of Thursday night’s game against the Miami Dolphins because of a lingering groin injury.

Jackson had been listed as questionable. The Bills are already without running back C.J. Spiller, who has a broken collarbone, and Bryce Brown was expected to start in Jackson’s place.

Receiver Sammy Watkins, who had been listed as probable with a groin injury, was active.

Dolphins guard Daryn Colledge was inactive for the third game in a row with a back injury. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who had been probable with shoulder and ankle injuries, was active. Tight end Charles Clay, who had been questionable with a knee injury, was also active.
