Former President George W. Bush had a playful response Wednesday evening when fellow former President Bill Clinton asked why he wasn’t on Twitter.

Mr. Clintontweeted to his followers that he just received a copy of “41: A Portrait of My Father,” Mr. Bush’s biography of his dad, former President George H.W. Bush.

“Received my copy of #41 by #43, George W. Bush. Touching tribute!” Mr. Clinton wrote, complete with the hashtags #HowAreYouSTILLNotOnTwitter and #PresidentialTweeters.

Mr. Bush then thanked Mr. Clinton — via Instagram.

“Thanks, 42! Hope you like the book about your pal, #41,” he wrote with the hashtags #HotAreYouSTILLNotOnInstagram, #BrotherFromAnotherMother, and #PresidentialGrammers — grammers meaning people who use Instagram.

Business Insider notes that the playful banter “is almost certainly the first time two former presidents have referred to themselves as brothers from another mother.”
