DEERFIELD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire Fish and Game officials say they have found a 57-year-old hunter after an overnight search in Deerfield.

Officials say Donna Poplar headed to a tree stand in woods behind her house at about 4 p.m. Wednesday to hunt deer.

Her husband alerted authorities when she didn’t return after dark, triggering an overnight search involving conservations officers, local police and K-9 search dogs.

A state police helicopter crew located Poplar at about 7:30 Thursday morning standing near wetlands 1-1/2 miles from her home. Authorities say she appeared to be suffering from hypothermia.

She was airlifted out of the area and taken by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.

Fish and Game Lt. Jim Juneau said the helicopter rescue likely saved her life.
