TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa County District Attorney Tim Harris has planned a candlelight ceremony next month to remember victims of violent crimes during the holidays.
The event is Dec. 2 at the Buddy LaFortune Community Center in south Tulsa.
Harris’ office is inviting family and friends of violent crime victims to the remembrance ceremony so they can place an ornament on a Christmas tree in honor of a lost loved one. Victims and survivors across northeastern Oklahoma are invited to participate.
The trees will be on display at the community center throughout the holidays.
