SALISBURY, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire state police say a 24-year-old man died of injuries suffered when his car veered off Route 4 and struck a tree in Salisbury.

Authorities say Warren Leary of Penacook was travelling east on Route 4 Saturday afternoon when he lost control of his car and struck a tree on the north side of the highway.

Police say speed and alcohol appear to be contributing factors in the crash, which occurred at about 4 p.m.

Leary was taken to Concord Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to call Troop D at 603-271-1162.
