SHEFFIELD, Ala. (AP) - Police in northwest Alabama say three people have died in a car crash.

The TimesDaily (https://bit.ly/1rNfTUO ) reports three men were killed in a one-car crash early Sunday morning in Sheffield - about five miles southwest of Florence.

Police say one of the men who died was from Muscle Shoals and the other two had out of state licenses. The men’s identities haven’t been released.

Investigators say the car the men were riding in hit a pole and sustained severe damage. Sheffield police Capt. Randy Butler says state troopers and police from Muscle Shoals are helping with the investigation.
