MEXICO CITY (AP) - America stayed top of the Mexican league after Atlas lost 4-0 at Leon on Sunday.

Atlas could have pulled level with America after the leader only drew 0-0 relegation-threatened Chivas on Saturday, but fell from second to fourth after being routed by Leon, the defending champion.

Toluca climbed to second after beating Tijuana 1-0 on Saturday, while Tigres climbed to third with a 1-0 victory over Queretaro on Sunday.

Toluca’s Issac Brizuela scored with a powerful strike in the 25th minute that handed Tijuana their first home loss of the season.

Brazilian Juninho netted a deflected free kick that gave Tigres the victory.
