STRATFORD, Conn. (AP) - Stratford authorities are offering a $2,500 reward as they seek information on a suspected arson that damaged a building housing several businesses.

One firefighter suffered facial burns in the fire on Success Avenue on Friday night. More than a dozen people who were celebrating Halloween in a first-floor pub got out safely.

Officials say the fire began on the vacant second floor and caused the roof to collapse. The pub and several businesses were forced to close, and it’s not clear when or if they will be able to reopen.

Police told the Connecticut Post that they’re offering a $2,500 reward for information on the blaze.
