SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is joining South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley as she campaigns in the Upstate.

Haley spokesman Rob Godfrey says Christie and Haley are attending U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy’s church in Spartanburg on Sunday. Christie will then campaign with Haley at The Beacon Drive-In, a Spartanburg landmark that’s become a must-stop for candidates.

Christie is chairman of the Republican Governors Association. He also campaigned for Haley in Charleston in September. He is among two potential 2016 GOP presidential contenders to join Haley on her get-out-the-vote bus tour that started Wednesday.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal campaigned with Haley on Thursday for stops along the coast.

South Carolina is home to the first-in-the-South GOP presidential primary.

Haley’s bus will continue Sunday to Rock Hill without Christie.
